Dame Allan’s Virtual House Music

With our annual Carol Service, Founder’s Day, Jazz Night and Junior School Talent Show already proven successful, it seems apt that the inaugural Senior Schools’ House Music Competition should conclude our calendar of virtual music events before we return to in-school learning this month.

Get Up and Go!

Our fantastic OLED team has launched their ‘Get Up and Go!’ competition to help encourage students to get active every day.

Virtual Futures Fair 2020

We’re proud to announce the Dame Allan’s Virtual Futures Fair has been launched today.

A staple event in our school calendar, the Futures Fair is a fantastic opportunity for students to meet representatives from businesses and higher education institutions from across the UK and beyond. Ordinarily the school is a hive of activity on this day with exhibitors, talks and presentations, networking events and more. From medicine to the armed forces, fashion to zoology, the event aims to inspire pupils interested in a variety of careers. As well as pupils from across Dame Allan’s, we also invite local schools to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity.

Due to the important social distancing measures keeping us safe, we couldn’t invite all the universities and companies into the Senior School site this year. Instead our talented and knowledgeable Careers team have been working hard behind the scenes to bring the Futures Fair experience to life virtually. This huge project sees Dame Allan’s collaborate with over 40 institutions and is the first of its kind by a school in the North East.

The Virtual Futures Fair will be available from now until 8 November.
