Welcome to Dame Allan’s Sixth Form

Sixth Form is a time of real growth, when students gain the independence, confidence and direction they need to move successfully from school to university, apprenticeships or the world of work.

Our Sixth Form has its own identity within the school — a more mature, flexible environment offering greater autonomy, dedicated study spaces and expert support, while still retaining the warmth and care of Dame Allan’s.

Above all, our Sixth Form is a community. We encourage pupils to contribute, lead, try new things and look after one another. By the time they leave us, they are not only well qualified, but self-assured, resilient and ready to take their next steps with confidence.

I very much hope you’ll come and see it for yourself.

Mrs Karen Fletcher

Director of Sixth Form

The Queen’s Building

Our dedicated Sixth Form home, the Queen’s Building, was recently refurbished to provide calm, silent study areas, collaborative workspaces, meeting rooms and Café 1705 — spaces where students learn to manage their time, work together and take real ownership of their studies in a way that mirrors university life.

The Sixth Form Curriculum

Alongside a broad and ambitious choice of A Level subjects, students benefit from our super-curricular programme, leadership opportunities, volunteering, enrichment and tailored UCAS and careers guidance. Small tutor groups, specialist teachers and strong pastoral care ensure every individual is known, supported and challenged to aim high.

How We Support Our Pupils

In the Sixth Form, we have curated an environment where every student feels known, cared for and important, enabling them to grow into confident and resilient individuals. We know that a happy student learns best.
