Twins Hector and Pippa Southern from Stocksfield have picked up their GCSE results to find they got exactly the same results.

The siblings, who attend Dame Allan’s Schools, both received four A*s, four As and one B grade for their GCSE examinations, and they are both over the moon with their achievement.

Pippa, who will go on to study French, German and History at A Level in the Sixth Form at Dame Allan’s said: ‘It’s really funny that we both got the same grades! I want to go on to do Law and Hector wants to do medicine so we’re not similar academically really. We’re both really happy, and so are mum and dad!’

Hector and Pippa’s results form part of the excellent results achieved by the 2016 cohort at Dame Allan’s, and build on the success of GCSE students year on year at the schools.

Hector said: ‘We both worked very hard for our GCSEs and it’s great that we can celebrate today. I am going to take Biology, Chemistry and Computer Science for A Level and I’m really looking forward to getting started in the Sixth Form.’
