Co-curriculum

Co-curricular life at Dame Allan’s is not an add-on to the school day. With almost 200 clubs on offer across the Schools each week, it’s a vital part of who we are. From the sports pitches and theatre to rehearsal rooms, laboratories and the great outdoors, our pupils are busy long after lessons end. They train, perform, compete, explore, debate and create. In doing so, they discover strengths they didn’t know they had and interests that often stay with them for life.

For me, the co-curriculum is where character is built. It’s where friendships are strengthened, talents emerge and pupils begin to understand what they’re truly capable of. I encourage every family to explore what’s on offer and see just how much life at Dame Allan’s extends beyond the classroom.

Developing the Whole Child, Beyond the Classroom

Our programme is broad by design. Whether through sport, dance, music, drama, outdoor education, academic societies, clubs, trips or visits, every pupil can find something that challenges and excites them.

Just as importantly, they learn commitment, teamwork, leadership and resilience – the qualities that matter as much beyond school as they do within it.

Led by Pupils, Supported by Staff

We’re proud of the depth of opportunity on offer and the expertise of the staff who lead it. Many are specialists in their fields, and all share the same aim: to help young people step forward with confidence, try something new and feel part of a community that supports them to succeed. And, if there is not a club that suits your child’s interests, we can support them to set one up - many of our clubs have come from our pupils’ ideas.
