Nine pupils at Dame Allan’s Schools have achieved a clean sweep of nine grade 9s in their GCSEs this year, marking them as the school’s top high-flyers on an exceptional results day.
All nine will join Dame Allan’s Sixth Form in September to pursue a broad range of A-Levels, from sciences and maths to languages, economics and humanities.
Principal Will Scott said: “These are truly outstanding results. Achieving nine grade 9s is an extraordinary accomplishment, and the school community is immensely proud of these pupils. Their success reflects not only their hard work and determination but also the dedication of their teachers and the support of their families.”
Masa Alazabi (below), who intends to study A Level computer science, physics and further maths 1 and 2 in the Sixth Form, said: “I’m really, really happy! The exams were quite a stressful time, but I am so glad all of my hard work paid off.”
Kate Davies-Tse, who joined Dame Allan’s in Year 5, said: “I’m really, really pleased – I didn’t expect to do this well so I’m very happy.
“I enjoyed all my subjects, especially physics because my teacher, Dr Smith, was amazing.”
Kate will join the Sixth Form to take A Level history, Latin and German, with aspirations to study history or classics at university.
Will Scott, Principal at Dame Allan’s Schools, said: “To achieve a full set of grade 9s is exceptional, but what makes these young people truly remarkable is the way they balance that academic excellence with their talents and commitments beyond the classroom. We are immensely proud of them and excited to see how they will continue to excel and grow in out Sixth Form.”
Alongside Masa and Kate, the cohort of top achievers includes Nikhita Amonkar, Ruhab Khan, Poppy Overs, Jannat Rahman, Hayden Wong, Eric Xu and Oscar Xu.
