Five Dame Allan’s pupils are celebrating exceptional GCSE results after each achieved a clean sweep of grade 9s across all nine of their subjects.

All five will remain at Dame Allan’s for Sixth Form to study a range of A Level subjects.

James J will take A Levels in Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Further Maths. He said: “I’m hoping to study Natural Sciences at university, maybe Oxford or Durham.”

Jess N will study Physics, Geography, Maths and Further Maths; Yaqub A will continue with Politics, Philosophy and Psychology; Sam B will study Maths, Chemistry and Physics; and Alice W will take Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Further Maths.

Neil Seaton, Principal at Dame Allan’s Schools, said: “Achieving a grade 9 in every GCSE is an exceptional accomplishment, and all five pupils should be very proud of their results.

“Whether they go on to study science, maths, humanities or something else entirely, these pupils have shown the value of hard work, and I look forward to seeing all they achieve in the Sixth Form.”
