GCSE students at Dame Allan’s Schools in Newcastle are once again celebrating their excellent results with 21 students achieving all 7-9 grades.

Principal Dr John Hind said: “Congratulations to our students collecting their GCSE examination results today. We are proud of all of our pupils: not just those who have achieved the highest grades, but of each and every one who has worked hard to secure the best grades of which they are capable.

“These results reflect the success of our diamond system of education, recently rated as ‘Excellent’ by the Independent Schools Inspectorate, which sees our boys and girls educated separately until Year 11.

“This provides the academic benefits of single-sex education, allowing us to tailor our learning according to gender as well as the individual needs of our students, combined with the social advantages of co-education.”
