Computer Science

Computer Science at Dame Allan’s Schools develops logical, creative and highly transferable skills, equipping pupils to understand, design and innovate with digital technology. All pupils in Years 7–9 follow a broad computing programme, covering computer science, digital literacy and information technology.

From Year 10, GCSE Computer Science is offered, with A Level available in the Sixth Form. Pupils extend their learning beyond the curriculum through robotics, physical computing with Raspberry Pi and BBC Micro:Bit, the VEX V5 challenge and participation in competitions including Bebras, CyberFirst Girls and Young Coders.

The school also offers popular after-school Computing and eSports clubs and industry opportunities, which give pupils hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the cyber world.
