Hockey

Hockey clubs run across the Schools. In the Junior School, sessions run for Years 3 and 4, Year 5 and Year 6. In the Senior School, sessions run for girls in Year 7, Year 8, Year 9, Year 10 and Years 11-13. There is also a session for boys and girls in Years 7 and 8.

Hockey is a cornerstone of our school’s sporting identity and the flagship girls’ sport in the autumn term. We offer a broad and inclusive structure across all age groups, with multiple teams at U12 and U13 level, A and B teams at U14 and U15, and a strong senior pathway including the 1st XI, 2nd XI and U16 XI. This depth ensures that every player, from beginner to elite, has the opportunity to develop, compete and enjoy the game.

Our recent record reflects the strength of the programme. In the past two years, four teams have reached National Finals. Notable achievements include the U13A team reaching consecutive National Plate semi-finals and earning bronze medals, the 1st XI competing at National Finals, and the U16 XI finishing sixth nationally. Players regularly compete against top-tier schools and many achieve representative honours at county, regional and national levels.

The introduction of a new full-size astro pitch in late 2026 will further enhance training and match play. We are excited to build on this momentum and inspire future players to reach their full potential.
