On the cricket pitch pupils are encouraged to express their talents and develop their fundamental skills in fielding, batting and bowling. Matches are played against other schools in regular blocks in midweek fixtures and county cup matches. The regular fixture list includes matches against schools such as Durham, RGS, Kings Priory, Yarm and Ampleforth.

At the Senior School we are privileged to have an astro wicket with nine further grass wickets, two astro batting nets and numerous mini cricket pitches. We also have a partnership with Swalwell CC for U18 fixtures allowing pupils the opportunity to play on a first class wicket in a stunning rural setting.
