Parents' Association
The Dame Allan’s Schools Parents' Association (DASPA) is an important part of the Dame Allan’s family. It aims to work with parents and carers, staff and pupils to enhance the school experience.
We organise many events throughout the school calendar including Christmas and Summer Fairs, a family Ceilidh, uniform sales, year group parties, film nights and a Biennial Ball. We have also held one-off events like a virtual pet show and a vintage fashion show. In addition, we actively support school events such as music concerts and drama productions. For a full list of DASPA activities across the year and information on our upcoming ball, please visit the DASPA Events page.
The funds raised by DASPA are used to enhance student life. Recently we have funded and co-managed the Junior School Pond Project and provided equipment for the drama, music, sport and science department. We have also arranged fun experiences for pupils such as a reindeer visit.
DASPA plays an equally important role in bringing together the wider community of Dame Allan’s Schools with our activities welcoming school charity groups (Duke of Edinburgh and World challenge), local community groups, other schools and the Allanian Society.
We also provide an opportunity for parents to network with each other through a LinkedIn page.
We are always delighted to welcome new members and would love to hear from you. Our email is daspa@dameallans.co.uk
If you would like to support DASPA, please get in touch with us or make us your charity on the Give As You Live website.
