Amy Mason was the only girl in her Computer Science class at both GCSE and A Level. Today she found out she achieved the all-important A grade, which secures her place at the prestigious University of St Andrew’s.
Amy said: “I’m thrilled with my results. I’m really proud of myself. St Andrew’s is the top university for my subject, so I couldn’t be happier!”
Dr Hind, Principal at Dame Allan’s Schools said: “We are delighted to be celebrating the success of our students again this year.
“The ethos of Dame Allan’s Schools is to educate the whole child and support our students in being the very best they can be. Today’s results reflect the success of our diamond system of education, which sees our boys and girls educated separately until Year 11, allowing us to tailor our learning according to gender as well as the individual needs of our students.
“These A Level results and the huge array of varied and interesting degree courses our students are embarking on is testament to the success of this system. We wish Amy and all the students every success in the future.”
