Two of our high achievers at GCSE are twins Emily and Libby Doughty, both of whom received a set of 7-9 grades. 

Emily and Libby are both members of the North Tyneside Youth Council and heavily involved in the debate and public speaking events at Dame Allan’s.

This passion for politics will continue for Emily when she returns to the Sixth Form to study politics and government, English literature and history. Libby will join her sister in English literature classes, but is keen to pursue a career in medicine and so will study biology and chemistry as her other A Level choices.

Emily and Libby said: “We’re really pleased with our results, it’s a great end to the summer! We’re now looking forward to going in to the Sixth Form at Dame Allan’s, where we’ll be co-chairing the Senior debate team.”
