Learn more about our pastoral care, and how we support our pupils
At GCSE and A Level, the subject challenges pupils to think deeply, argue clearly and question thoughtfully. Philosophy pupils engage with ideas around morality, knowledge, identity and existence, while Religious Studies examines contemporary ethical issues, cultural diversity and social responsibility in an increasingly complex world.
Learning is enriched through meaningful experiences beyond the classroom, including visits to places of worship, courts and hospices, overnight trips to Kielder Observatory, and discussions with guest speakers such as religious figures, prison governors and refugees.
