We take great pride in the extra-curricular activities available to our Sixth Form students. There is so much more to a child’s learning than teaching in class and we see our wide range of extracurricular activities as an essential part of their development.
Sixth Form students are encouraged to make the most of opportunities that extend their learning outside the classroom to make them not only brilliant academics, but well-rounded members of society.
Whether it is developing a wider interest in a subject area through educational visits and societies or enhancing their leadership and teamwork skills, we have something in which every student can get involved.
Our Sixth Form students are active members of several senior sports teams and contribute to the arts in our drama productions, Vizavis dance company and various musical groups. They participate in World Challenge, the Schools' Combined Cadet Force, the Duke of Edinburgh Award and our annual leadership weekend at Derwent Hill.
Students are also encouraged to contribute to the wider community through Youth Parliament, community service, peer mentoring, and charity work; this has seen students raise thousands of pounds for good causes in recent years.
