Top performing sisters achieve outstanding results

Undercover Big Boss star Robert Forrester is celebrating his daughters’ incredible success at GCSE and A-Level on the day he makes his appearance on the ITV hit show.

Mr Forrester, CEO of one of the UKs largest car dealerships, was at Dame Allan’s Schools, in Newcastle, with his daughter Annabel as she received a straight set of grade-9 GCSE results this morning.

Joining them was older sister Emily, who two days earlier achieved her own exceptional A* grades in A-Level Biology, Chemistry and Maths from the independent school in Fenham.

The girls’ success comes as their father appears on TV screens tonight (Thursday) posing as fake history lecturer Tom Gough in Undercover Big Boss, working alongside employees at Bristol Street Motors.

He said: “I am exceptionally proud of both Emily and Annabel who have worked incredibly hard to achieve the grades they have.”

Annabel intends to study the same three A Level subjects as older sister Emily when she moves up to Dame Allan’s Sixth Form in Fenham in September, in the hope of following in her mother Helen’s footsteps and carving a career in the field of medicine.

Mrs Forrester, who also studied Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A Level and is a GP, praised her daughters’ exceptional results.

“They deserve these grades because they worked very hard, despite the circumstances,” she said. “The girls were both strong and kept adapting to all the changes they faced.”

On Tuesday Emily, 18, accepted a place to study Biology at Durham University.

While a large proportion of her A-Level studies at Dame Allan’s were undertaken online during lockdown, Emily not only thrived but also gave her own time to tutor a Year 9 pupil who had been struggling in maths and science.

“It has been a different and difficult year for everyone, having to do a considerable amount of learning online or while wearing a mask,” explained Emily.

“Thankfully, the teachers were engaging and gave us the best support possible. I was able to do the same for a Year 9 girl who needed some extra tutoring as part of the school’s mentoring programme.”

Will Scott, Principal of Dame Allan’s Schools, commended the sisters for their commitment to their education and continued hard work.

“Both Emily and Annabel have shown such dedication to their studies, they are hard-working students who are a pleasure to teach and we are very proud of their achievements,” he said.

“We wish Emily all the best for her future, while we look forward to welcoming Annabel into our outstanding Sixth Form in the new academic year.”
