Max secures scholarship to Yale University

It’s great news for squash champion Max Forster, who has achieved the A Level results he needs to take up a full sports scholarship at Yale University, USA.

Originally approached by scouts for Columbia, Harvard and Yale, Max made the decision to accept the offer from Yale based on how relaxed and comfortable he felt on the campus.

Speaking about the result and his future plans, he said: “I’m feeling really good about today. Unfortunately I’ve had to defer my place for a year because of the ongoing COVID-19, but I’m pleased that I know that it is definitely going to happen at some point. It’s a shame as I was really looking forward to going, but it means I can potentially have some time off – with training and studies, I’ve never had that opportunity in my life!

“I’m going to enjoy my summer and take it from there. I might spend the year playing squash full time, but with the current restrictions on sports due to social distancing, who knows?”
