Dame Allan's Big Bounce Back

From Monday 8 March, Dame Allan's Schools will begin a programme of activities and workshops to welcome back our students into school-based, face-to-face learning. We have called it the Dame Allan’s ‘Big Bounce Back’.

After twelve months without sustained social contact, group exercise and outdoor team-working opportunities, our priority in the Big Bounce Back programme is to encourage social interaction amongst the pupils and a return to collective endeavour and group tasks. These areas are absolutely critical aspects of a child's personal growth and something we have always championed as part of our approach to providing a well-rounded education to our pupils.

Junior School and Nursery

Children will be welcomed back to the Junior School and Nursery by our two Snow Dogs, Eleanor and Allan, newly repainted in their smart school uniform.

Staff have planned a morning of PSHE-related activities based on chosen social and learning behaviours and the children will have opportunities to mix more widely within their year group in outdoor situations. This includes a return to clubs and some extra-curricular activities in line with current guidance regarding social distancing.

Senior School and Sixth Form

An extensive timetable of activities will be provided to all pupils from Years 7 to 13. This will take place every afternoon, 4pm-5pm. All activities have been planned in a safe and enjoyable way and, with a wide range of activities on offer, we're confident every pupil will find activities to enjoy.

A sign-up sheet has already been sent out to the students via Google Forms. Please contact your child's form teacher for further information.

Below are the timetables of activities and workshops currently on offer.
