Welcome to Dame Allan's Sixth Form
Dame Allan's Schools was one of the first independent schools in the region to create a mixed sixth form over 20 years ago. Since then it has developed and grown and now has around 200 students.
"Pupils' social development is excellent. They grow into confident, articulate, caring young men and women who go out of their way to help others. Their strong social skills contribute to excellent relationships. Pupils value leadership highly and aspire to it. They give of their time to lead others." ISI Report 2011.
The less formal environment enables pupils to learn effectively in a natural development from the main schools, providing an excellent preparation for higher education and adult life.
This environment of care and understanding combined with a rigorous academic approach helps us achieve our goal of building the inner confidence of each pupil and fulfilling their individual potential.
Dame Allan's holds an Open Evening in the autumn for prospective pupils and their parents to visit the School and meet staff and pupils, however you are welcome to arrange a visit any time.
This year, Life in the Sixth Form is being held at 6.30pm, on Thursday 7 November 2013. Please contact the Registrar for further information, or call 0191 275 0608.
We very much look forward to meeting you here: you can be assured of a warm welcome.
