Pupils in our Junior School are encouraged to aim high and achieve their goals. Pupils are taught in small classes where children benefit from our creative and lively approach to learning. The core skills of numeracy, literacy and science are supported by a broad, creative and rigorous curriculum which includes modern foreign language and science lessons. Children in Years 5 and 6 spend some time each week at the Senior School taking lessons, including Design Technology, to prepare them for the transition into the Senior Schools.
We follow the progress of our children throughout the year, meaning we can quickly identify any struggles they may have and put steps in place to help them before a child becomes anxious or upset.
Children at Dame Allan’s Junior School do not take part in the SATs examinations, we hold our own, informal exam week to track the progress of our children.
