A purpose built modern centre

The Sixth Form has been based in a purpose built modern centre since September 2004, formally opened by HM The Queen in 2005.

Group of students celebrating ‘A’ level success in front of the schoolThe building is designed so that students and staff can work and relax together. The student common room and separate study area are next to the classrooms, which are an ideal size for average sets of 13 in Year 12 and 11 in Year 13.

The new building is fully equipped with modern resources, including computers linked to the internet and wireless laptops.

All pupils study four AS Levels in Year 12 and most continue with three to A2 Level in Year 13 plus General Studies. The subjects are chosen from a broad curriculum and more details about individual courses are available from the Schools.

Curriculum

The following subjects are available. We will endeavour to make sure everyone studies their first choice subjects but in rare cases this may not be possible due to low numbers or timetabling constraints.
